Unintential gun deaths show otherwise nbd. Many Darwin Awards will be doled out.

Poisonings, mostly from drug overdoses, are the leading cause of accidental death among working-age adults in the United States, a new report shows. In half of those cases, the overdose resulted from prescription-drug abuse, according to the U.S. National Safety Council

What she is saying makes no sense at all.
She is going to waste taxpayers money when this is ruled illegal.

Only about 250-300 are killed by rifles each year. That includes everything from bolt action ranch rifles, to "assault rifles."

250 out of 220,000,000.

Shotguns kill more people than rifles or about the same.
And 6000+ are murdered with a handgun.

6000 vs 250. Yet it's the rifles LOL

fukk are we talking about here?

"Oh no, they're enforcing existing gun laws... the tyranny!! "

MA has strict compliance laws. All of these guns that she just banned were specifically made to be compliant with my state law. She's calling manufactures out for following the law. Literally.

She's not enforcing existing law. She's amending it without any oversight from my legislators.

Also, if this is "sensible" like some people wish to think, then how do you reason her NOT banning handguns? ARs were used in 7 crimes last year. Not murder, crime. Handguns were used in over 1000 crimes. Makes logical sense, right?

Anyway, I'll get the link to MA being the most policed state when I get home.

AG Healey Announces Crackdown On 'Copycat' Assault Weapons In Mass.

Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey says she’s cracking down on the sale of guns that have been modified to skirt the state’s assault weapons ban passed in 1998.

She says the gun industry has openly defied the law, and she’s stepping up enforcement, especially in the wake of the mass shooting at an Orlando nightclub and the shootings of police officers in Dallas and Baton Rouge.

Healey says she is referring to weapons that she says have been “tweaked” to become so-called state compliant.

“If a gun’s operating system is essentially the same as a banned weapon, or a gun’s component parts are interchangeable with those of a banned weapon, it’s a copy and it’s illegal,” said Healey.

Despite the law, Healey estimates some 10,000 copycat assault weapons were sold in Massachusetts last year. While manufacturers have deemed certain weapons in compliance, she said her office looked at the issue and concluded they weren’t.

P.S. 10,000 "assault rifles" were sold in MA last year. 7 were used to commit crime. 7 out of 10000.

fukk the fukking Constitution!! It is just a piece of paper! This country needs common-sense-everything control now!

We need to ban automatic assault trucks now! Ban high-capacity magazines for assault hatchets and axes now! Ban automatic AR-15-style pressure cookers now!

We need common sense legislation to take pointy objects and objects whose mass can be converted into a weapon by manipulation of distance off the streets now!

Only the government needs weapons! The government loves us! Never in history has a government taken weapons away from its citizens and then turned on them!

The indentured servant negroes were not allowed to have guns, and it was a good strategy! They loved their work so much, and loved their masters enough, to not only whistle and sing while serving, but most of them took on the names of their masters! Because we were all one big happy American family!

Only when the negro was armed with high capacity automatic AR-15-style magazines during the Civil War did their community begin breaking down!

And, taking a Mack truck and running through a crowd or people for (1+ miles, not just a city block) can do an incredible amount of damage.

I'm not one of these people that uses the "ban cars" argument, as when it's used, it's often used in a way that makes little sense, but there are many ways that a person(s) can wipe out a lot of people in a short period of time, and many of those ways do not involve a gun.
A trucks sole purpose is not to kill. Guns are made to kill

A truck adds to society by providing transportation for people and goods. A gun adds nothing but death.

A truck driver has to go through more training and continued scrutiny for the right to drive said truck than a gun owner needs to purchase a gun.

A truck has to go through more safety and maintenance checks than a gun would.

Trucks and truck drivers are more regulated and monitored than assault weapons and owners in this country.

Let that sink in :smh:

One day, there will be a criminal or terrorist who takes their fight to a government official with an illegally owned weapon and I wonder what the argument will be then

What it always is after every fukk up they expand...After hurricane katrina FEMA grew , After 9/II the NSA grew...after every tragedy some department expands..so if someone shoots enough govt employees they will start a department of illegal weapons to "deal" with such risks
