They're really about to drop Fallout 4 with spaceships :unimpressed:

It's 2022, the open world game has evolved so much since Fallout 3 but they're still recycling that blueprint

:russ: besides breath of the wild and maybe elden ring, most of these games are cosplay versions of Far Cry 3 and early Assassin Creed games. Bethesda open world games at least have their own lane in this.

Engine wise, this is going to be on their Creation 2 engine. Next elder scrolls will use the same thing. Todd said from previous generations, five times as many people work on it. I do think they could stand to, in the future, move to unreal like many other first party Xbox studios.

Unreal or really no other engine can do what Creation does.

It’s why The outer Worlds had to be broken up into smaller levels and it didn’t have the same persistent item placement stuff as other Bethesda titles.

Nah, even with Epic changing how profit splits work, I'd imagine that Bethesda has enough data to suggest that the cost of developing an engine in house is still cheaper than the licensing fees for Unreal. Especially since they've had a lot of the jankiness written off as part of their charm.

That's a huge claim. Totally won't get claimed as some wild fanboy shyt, possibly by another fanboy, within a few posts at all. :mjlol:
