Ace was really dope in the early to mid 90's.

We used to play his records a lot, as kids. Always felt like his legacy took a hit because he was always beefing with people he worked with. First, it was Marley and then Lord Digga during the Inc days. SlaughtaHouse and Sittin' on Chrome was really Ace in his prime. And a lot of that came from being around Digga and Norm, as the Bluez Brothas.

After that, he was hit or miss, to me. With a lot of misses, lol. But he's definitely one of those legends that always gets overlooked. Just seemed to burn a lot of bridges.

My older sister was a huge Masta Ace so I listened to him in the early 90’s as well

Yeah lol, he did seem to always have a falling out with people.

Facts, Take a Look Around, Slaughtahouse and Sittin On Chrome are all prime Ace. I love Disposable Arts and A Long Hot Summer too though.

I been going back and re-listening to all of his albums for months and he’s moved up to my number favorite emcee. I can just listen to any of his albums and zone out, think, laugh, cry, and reminsce

LOL!! Exactly.

A lot of labels were doing that back then too. Rowdy put out the Illegal album on a red cassette, which was dope to us back then, lol.

Those are the two Ace albums I've been stuck on since the 90's. Serious classics!

Slaughtahouse was my fave! I still remember the day I got that tape and where I was listening to it for the first time. As soon as the intro and then the song kicked in after the murda murda murda and kill kill kill (The beat drops) I knew that tape was going to be serious! You brought me back just mentioning that album. I think I still have that OG tape somewhere.
