I figured after but so long, just like my Titans, this was gonna be an internal promotion. I can say at least, I'm glad its back to an young/old groove again (like with Haf) and not just an old/old act.

Cant say the move is exciting but Day hasn't missed on much since he's been here so I'm sure he sees something no one else sees, I hope lol.

Real rap. I hope he meant what he said when he 1st came back about running more schemes similar to what him and Pees ran in Tenn-a-key. He had our DB's 6th in passing defense and 8th in opponents QB ratings + dudes had their best years.

Good thing is only way to go is up from mf 122nd in passing defense smh. Let's hope for a full camp/off season & full season to reload dem silver bullets.

shytshow my brethren. Off top, we lost Pees & Coombs. Vrabel says even though the title wasn't bestowed upon him, our LB coach (Bowen) was the defacto DC. And with that, came a year where EVERYONE regressed pretty much. Byard went from being a Top 3-5 safety in a game snagging the most picks in the last 2-3 years to only snagging one and constantly embarrassing himself on the backend.

We had NO rush which would've helped with coverage. Think we only had 19 sacks. Signed Vic Beasley thinking he would return to form but he got no sacks while he was here. Barely got any pressure. Signed Clowney on a 1 yr being he had his best year with Vrabel in Houston but that was a bust even before the injury. Thats why Pees was good cuz he could dial up exotic blitzes to cover up our ends/interior lack of pass rush. Had our safeties blitzing, etc.

We need Edge help like a mf. More DB help. Butler had his best year with us but that aint saying much. Adoree been pouting along with his injury. We let Logan Ryan go who was good for us.. Lack of communication all year w/o proper DC.

And of course we decided to promote within as well on both offense and defense :unimpressed:

So will the secondary in Columbus be of concern this year too

Nah.

Not much more needs to be said about lack of complete offseason, sporadic practices, missed practices, etc.

And people forget. We lost 4 and 3 star DBs before the year even started to that Junior from Players Club fukkery with Wint and Riep. That was depth right there.

Sevyn & Johnson should hold us down on the outside DB wise with senior experience. Plus Brown bouncing back from injury. Plus, thay good ole Texas pipeline that's been holding us down should see more dividends with Lejond getting some playing time this year :smoker:

Proctor & Hooker law firm will hold down them 2 high safety spots.

Gonna be some growing pains but after our offense wins us those 1st two games, we'll get much needed reps against that grinder of Tulsa, Akron & Nebraska :scheme:

I'm more concerned with who's gonna be that next legendary end to step up.

Don’t forget Latham too. Freshman came in at the end of the year and looked like he should have been playing all year.

Facts. He got big play written all over him.

Fact of the matter is, if that defensive unit looks anywhere near what they looked like last year, then Coombs will officially be looking funny in the light. But he deserves the benefit of the doubt for now. I would say he'd be on the hot seat but his red bull drankin ass never sit down :martin:
