More importantly was how he conducted business. He put on family and friends from his city and they didn't have contracts. Not only did he put them on, but he set them up financially. The business model that he had was unique. Each album promoted the next. Everything was in-house. P didn't just talk it, he really was "bout it".

Still, a lot of the hate he gets now isn't even from white people. It's people that are Black (or people that claim to be Black on forums) that hide behind the ol' "P destroyed Hip Hop" gimmick.

P helped revolutionize the independent game back in the 90s as well as laid the blueprint for rappers expanding outside of music (clothing lines, film companies, etc.) . The main reason P will forever have my respect though is....you NEVER hear anybody from No Limit's heyday accusing P of doing them wrong.

That's something Suge Knight, Birdman, Diddy, Jay-Z, etc. can't say.

Even mystikal who was pretty much an established artist when they signed him...they took care of and he told them ON WAX "i'ma keep comin long as KLC Keep drummin..." and only left when beats by the pound / klc lelft the label.
