but once state property got established, they were the top label in the game. they were on top over a year before Camron dropped "oh boy".
dipset did put rocafella OVER the top tho, and got them into goat label discussions.

my comment about the tiers was based on how theyre generally viewed.
which was in response to dude who tried to downplay no limit and put labels like rap-a-lot and gasp...……..sic wid it ahead of them.
really, I don't mind no limit being put on a higher tier. I was just saying how theyre generally viewed. im just as big of a no limit fan as rocafella. I might be a bigger no limit fan actually.
I do feel like no limit should be mentioned in the top tier more.

as far as the sales stuff goes, east coast is the bootleg capital. rappers from up top generally weren't gonna move the same numbers as those from other regions unless they were a big commercial act. rocafella was very much street and east coast.

and im not dissin Kanye or saying that he doesn't count. im just saying its crazy to act like he made the roc pop off. for starters, he didn't come out until the very last days of the roc. that alone kills your argument.
and as far as the other thing I said, its true. most real rocafella heads weren't big on Kanye. so to say Kanye made rocafella pop off, is like saying lil Romeo revived & carried no limit.
