This track dropped when I was High School Freshman & I didn't understand why this track came & went., but rewatching this music video as an adult I can't help but at Master P coming off as trying to keep with the Crunk wave that was going on in Hip-Hop at the time.



At the fact Lil' Jon didn't even bother to show up for the music video shoot when back than Lil Jon always at least made cameo appearances in the music videos for the tracks he produced.

Man, was Master P a legend in the late 90's. I Got The Hook Up was damn near my favorite song EVER around 1998

but, you have to essentially disavow everything after 1999. Step to Dis his last stand. and try playing that now LOL

Man Master P from Step Ta Dis and on besides 504 Boyz (the first album) was so washed lmaoo. Chasing every trend possible and it did not work. A guilty pleasure of mine though was “I Need Dubs”. I’m a sucker for that sample and it legit shakes your trunk. That’s the only time I’ve ever willingly listened to Lil Romeo.
