This shyt looks like a Dave Chapelle rap skit with Dave playing Silkk :mjlol:

Video is fukking terrible and the internet is catching on to it

We were all underground heads...but one of my boys started singing the hook on this when he got into coke.

I just heard Master P's checking on my crack house.

He definitely spoke his truth minus the blatant murder in that track.

In the Bout that video he comes off as a rapper who made it on coke the way he moves.

I never was into No Limit or Cash money in the late nineties.

But they were so original - which IS hip hop, and I appreciated it all years later.

Percy had an existential crisis after Cash Money blew nationally and he started reaching to the point the cringe was too much….its like what happened to to late 80s early 90s rappers that had to adapt once gangsta rap blew and changed the whole tone and aesthetic of the game …one year felt ten and he looked like he was out there doing bling rap cosplay

All that No Limit stuff was trash. Hillbilly shyt.
My man - go listen to some TRU, Mia X and Mac and holla at me.

"I live cross the street from a killer, round the corner from a murderer,
next door to a n*gga that never even heard of a..
free day.. cause he get FED time about nine,
a cold blooded killer.. still dressing like them old timers.

There go some ganstas, on the corner slanging crack,
if you want the powder, you gotsta go around the back.
If you don't want trouble, then stay up in yo home,
in the middle of my block, is where you find the heroine.

And the one who kill the most, get the most respect,
it's like a muthaf***ing law, when you livin in the projects.
Cause money brings problems, and dope brings killing,
and where I'm from every young n*gga willing...

To do what they gotta do on my block,
that's why the best job in the hood is slanging rocks."

- C-Murder, Where I'm From

And if you ain't into the classic No Limit stuff.. you can't tell me this ain't banging (from the I'm Bout It Soundtrack)

That’s because dude was trash and his movement. Bumpkin, country no rhymin lames with mostly super shyt beats. Horrendous and pathetic era for the genre fasho.

Intwrsting debate could be the point you made about P, vs Hammer "Funky Headhunter" era.

Mia X’s second and third albums were really good. I can’t speak on the first cause I haven’t heard much of it
