The red disc was :dj2:. The blue disc was a bunch of rehashed ideas and retread songs ("Make Em Say Ughhh 2" and "Let's Get Em"). Both of those songs lacked Mystikal. I know he was all over disc 1, but there wasn't even a point in remaking those songs when he brought so much to the originals. Then there was "Goodbye To My Homies" which wasn't anywhere near "Miss My Homies". "Hot Boyz & Girls" and a few others were the only redeemable songs on disc 2.

only a couple people acknowledged the 3 most important things about this release.

1.) it was billed as the final master p solo album.
2.) it was the 1st double cd to be sold for the price of one.
3.) the 3D cover. best album cover ever.

I loved this album. top 10 double cd ever.

my only knocks are that theres too much filler and too much rehases & retreads as @JustCKing said. and how you gonna remake "make em say ugh" and "lets get em" without MYSTIKAL!!??

but man, theres still so much heat on here. if P died a week before it came out, he would get a lot of the biggie "life after death" treatment, cuz that album really isn't much better than this one, if yall wanna be real.

I had this album once upon a time. I think I even liked it. I loved the cover, and it's arguably one of the goat album covers. I definitely loved "Make Em Say Ugh 2". Used to play the shyt out of that.

I tried to listen to this album last year after going more than a decade since listen. Straight garbo. Really put things in perspective for me.

I remember the cover, being able to move or some shyt Lol

CD was ok, but the impact surrounding that CD was big, I think he had said that it would be his last CD, he was retiring.

Mia X destroyed on Hot Boy and Hot Girl

3d movable cover :russ:Yeah I bought this album recently on amazon, and was disappointed they took it off.

2. I didn't know that the album sold for the price of one (well dayum)

3. That 3D cover was amazing. I think I starred and played with that shyt for a good 30 mins to an hour when I got it.

4. Snoop on Make'em say Ugh was his worst verse ever Lol, dude just messed up the whole song. :snoop:

5. The album had some solid features and when breaking down that album, P touched every market in the U.S. with that album, he had bone, (which covered the midwest), He had Snoop on the album which touched the West Coast and he had a East Coast cat, I think, I may be wrong, but I wanna say he did have someone from that region that he reached out to the East Coast, but his market/strategic thing he did on that album was crazy.

By him putting Snoop on the album was a good marketing skill
He replaced Mystikal with Magic and I think Magic was the next rapper that folks were whispering about, I know at least down here in New Orleans they were saying he had next.
He made a movie in association with the album :bryan:still can't believe the story line of that shyt :snoop:

Overall this album really was well put together as for as doing what it was supposed to do which was to break the bank

yo, do anybody else think he was freestyling on Let My 9 Get Em?

there was some songs where I felt like P HAD to be coming off the top..the original Nolimit Soldiers comes to mind...Back Up Off Me off Ice Cream Man...

those joints just seem he was searching for words as he went and ended up saying nonsensical shyt that he couldn't have written down

or you know.....he was just trash....I like to believe he was freestyling

anyway, just looking at the tracklist only songs I was eh on was "Snitches" and "Welcome To The City"...other than that, no skips :lawd:

2. yea P was the 1st to do that. then it became commonplace a lil later on.

3. lol. me too.

4. snoop ruined a lot of tracks on no limit. hes been hit-or-miss since '96.

5. i don't remember any east coast dudes on there. and i think bone thugs was his favorite rappers at the time. they were on the "i got the hook-up" soundtrack too. P didn't need to pander to other regions anyway. he was already huge everywhere at this point.

i don't know about "let my 9 get em", but yea i think he freestyled a lot of his verses, or at least portions of em.

"back up off me" and a lot of those hype verses from "tru 2 da game" come to mind.

snitches was the chit.
"my lil cousin jimmy told me in jail, he was a drag queen
now he on probation, drug dealer wit a tape machine"

P was spittin that chit. and its hes teamed up with vintage snoop. both killed it.

He did a lot of freestyling earlier on in his career, I know that song off the Ice Cream Man "Never Ending Game" or something to that..he free-styled the whole song..and another song, it's a clip on Youtube with him in the studio and KL and Craig b is in there with him along with Silkk and on that song, you can tell, he said the same shyt twice in the within the same 16 LOL...

"Snitches" was a song that fit Snoop's style at that time, They both came on that song.
