I’m going with Wan. More consistent. Yes, Texas is an all time classic and beyond reproach, as is Poltergeist. But Wan has been consistent since 04 and shows no signs of slowing down.
Hooper is dead. Rip. Can't get any more consistent.:unimpressed:

Over the span of his career :russ:

God bless the dead and all that. I’m saying Tobe did his thing for 20-30 years. That’s a hell of a career. And over those 3 decades, he wasn’t consistent. I love Texas, finally came around to Texas 2, and love life force and poltergeist. That’s about it.
Compare that to wan and it’s a no contest for me

Hooper has 2 movies. One supposedly made by Spielberg. Texas is an all time classic and Wan who been killing it for some time now deserves that crown even tho I'm not a fan of the conjuring shyt.

I’ve listened to people who were there on set and basically it’s Tobe’s movie. Spielberg had his hand in certain scenes and set ups but it’s Tobe for the most part.

the rumor only started because the LA times was on set one day and they only had access to the front of the house. And it was Spielberg out front doing the talking and all that. Meanwhile Tobe was in the back directing the tree scene with the mud and skeletons. But since they didn’t see that, they ran with what they saw and to the writer, it looked like Steven was directing the movie.

Yeah I read about that too. Tobe just isn't that good of a director. He struck gold with Chainsaw but that's about it.

Wan is also doing the Train to Busain (American remake).
James Wan to Produce 'Train to Busan' Remake from 'The Nun' Writer Gary Dauberman [Updated]
Modern day horror world-builder James Wan will produce a remake of the Korean zombie flick Train to Busan with The Nun writer Gary Dauberman providing the script. Deadline reports that a bidding war is a-ragin’ right now over the rights to the remake, with New Line, Universal, Paramount, Lionsgate and Screen Gems all getting in on the action.

Director San-ho Yeon’s film–which follows passengers on a train from Seoul to Busan in the middle of a zombie outbreak—did absolute gangbusters in South Korea and worldwide, taking in $85 million at the box office. The U.S. domestic box office, though, only accounted for $2 million of that take. But if there’s anyone to usher in a successful remake it’s the Wan-Dauberman duo. Wan practically created a modern day horror universe with The Conjuring films, which
