Yeah I'm glad we didn't get dusty and bubba.

Even though we got to see Jake v. Savage. The angle Jake and warrior had was interesting.

True but it did deliver us Savage v. Flair which was straight heat. From Flair's pix with Liz to their match at mania it was fire. :ohlawd:
That Flair Mania fukkery was the truth!

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
Sting/Macho Man Randy Savage/Lex Luger vs. Scott Hall/Kevin Nash/Bret Hart (1996)
During the edition May 27, 1996 of WCW Monday Nitro, a match between The Mauler and Steve Doll was going on in the ring. Suddenly, from the crowd, emerged Scott Hall, who took a mic and declared war on WCW. Two weeks later, Kevin Nash also showed up Nitro. Both were big stars in the WWF and this was being teased as a WWF invasion (until WWF filed a lawsuit and WCW had to cease teasing it as such). A match was scheduled for WCW's Bash at the Beach PPV where Lex Luger, Macho Man Randy Savage, and Sting would take on Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and a mystery third man. Who would be the third man? Bischoff, Hall and Nash were discussing names with Mabel as the top candidate. Crush was being considered for a brief period and then dismissed. All agreed Bret Hart would be the best candidate. After losing the WWF title at WM12, Hart took the spring and summer off to reassess things and his WWF contract was also coming up. Bischoff knew this, and decided to court Hart to see if he would be interested in jumping ship. Hart, who was disappointed in his last WWF title run, entertained the offer, but ultimately decided to stay with WWF. But that didn't stop WCW as they even floated the idea it would be Hart on its hotline (you’d think after the lawsuit they’d refrain from doing that crap) but Hart turned down every offer thrown his way. The next idea was to turn Lex Luger heel, but they felt that it would be too obvious, since he had come over from WWF in September of 95. Eventually, they threw the idea towards Hulk Hogan, but he was initially reluctant about turning heel. He eventually agreed to turn heel just 14 days before BATB and the rest is history.

Stone Cold Blows Up A Casino (1998)
In August of 1998, WWF acquired the property of the Debbie Reynolds hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were planning on turning it into a hotel and casino. Below is a 3D rendering of what the hotel and casino would've looked like:

They also had plans to add this into the Austin/McMahon feud. In reality, WWF was planning to demolish the hotel and rebuild it from scratch so they planned to have Stone Cold demolish the hotel to stick it to Vince as apart of their feud. None of this came to fruition and WWF eventually sold the Casino in 1999. They decided to build a restaurant in Times Squares instead and call it WWF New York (and eventually The World). It closed in 2003.

Death in WCW (1999)
Not much is known about this, but according to Terry Taylor, WCW were planning on keeping one of their wrestlers off screen for a few months claiming that he had died in a plane crash. Who the wrestler was supposed to be and how they would do this is not known. It was quickly kiboshed after the tragic death of Owen Hart in May of 1999.

Hulk Hogan vs. Jeff Jarrett/Hulk Hogan vs. Booker T (2000)
Jeff Jarrett was the WCW Champion heading into Bash at the Beach 2000 and he would be facing off against Hollywood Hulk Hogan. According to Vince Russo, everyone in management was very high on Booker T getting the title as he had worked very hard over the years, went from a successful tag team to a successful singles wrestler, and was very over with the fans. The original plan was for Hogan to basically destroy Jarrett in their match and then have Scott Steiner run down and turn heel causing a DQ. When this was ran by Hogan, he hated the idea.

Russo then proposed to Hogan that Jarrett lay down in the middle of the ring, Hogan goes home, and comes back a month later and he would have a unification match with Booker T who would also be WCW Champion. It would be a title vs. title unification match. Hogan was fine with this. Jarrett layed down in the middle of the ring at the beginning of the match, Hogan acted mad but pinned Jarrett anyway, took his title and went home. What Russo didn't tell Hogan was this was going to happen:

Russo came back out and did a live shoot on Hogan. This pissed Hogan off as he felt that he was bamboozeled and he was never seen or heard from again in WCW.

WCW Greed (The Original Ending)
The original ending to WCW's March (and last) PPV, Greed, was supposed to end much differently. Originally, it was going to end with the wrestlers all coming out of the dressing room and rioting, tearing down all the WCW banners and declaring the company dead, basically making for total anarchy on PPV, which is always fun. They would then do an angle where TBS and TNT kicked them off the air for a few months, allowing them time to plan feuds for the next 6-12 months, only to fight to get back on in May for WCW's rebirth PPV, The Big Bang.

A WWE themed casino in Vegas? fukkery would have been off the charts.

Very true. Vince would've had a headache changing that big assed WWF symbol on the casino when they changed it to WWE though. It looks like it would've been a fun time had by all though. I'm guessing it would've opened some time around Dec of 99 since there was an Armageddon logo in there.

:scusthov: @ the Hollywood Bret scenario.

:scusthov: @ the knee drop/elbow drop off the 2nd turnbuckle on savage, revealing he is the 3rd man

:scusthov: @Hollywood Bret going off on a 12 minute rant for Mene Gene talking about how many times he was screwed over his career and forgetting to sell the NWO.

Bret: "WHO ARE YOU DOUBT, EL DANDY, GENE! Who are you? WHO ARE YOU?"
Gene: "HEY DON'T TOUCH ME I'VE GOT A FLEET OF LAWYERS!"

I was more surprised to find out that Mabel and Crush were considered as serious contenders for the third man spot. :heh:

The Traps of Unified Korea
Trips/Cena II at WM23 - Trips got injured, they ran with HBK instead.
Big Show/Hogan at WM23 (being in Detroit, a clear 20 years later rehash of the Andre match) - Both ended up out of the WWE. They ran the match in Memphis themselves.
