The funny thing I have more money than I ever have had yet I'm the cheapest I've ever been when it comes to materialistic things.

When I was making like 8.50 a hour I used to buy like two fitteds a week etc.

100 dollar hoodies, 100 dollar jeans

Now I'm cheap as hell

I have a black friend struggling because of the materalism he was obsessed with in our 20s...

I have a cac associate bout to drop 100K on a house....... he lived with his pops and saved up. Never got clowned by white hoes for "living in his mama basement" ... he spent time building up his credit and saving and ... .still was knocking down women.

Many black boys believe you need the hot shoes or the dope car to feel good, get any p*ssy you want, and stunt.

Coming from NYC , shyt is the worse here .The standard for fly here is on a whole other echelon . Back in 8th grade you had to wear pradas , true religions jeans , robin jeans , BB simon belts , marmot jackets , moncler jackets to be classified as fly & this is back in 09/10 as a 13/14 year old , I was doing stick ups and come ups just to have my wardrobe up to par

I regret not taking more interest in Math and shyt like Physics in HS because I thought "getting fly" and "bytches" was all the world had to offer. 11-18 year olds just don't have the wisdom, knowledge of self, or experience when it comes to guiding yourself thru life, so we just go with our closest, external, influences for direction which is our culture, peers, and etc which can lead us to make terrible decisions and pick terrible habits. Man, I wish I could take my 24 year old mind, and give it to my 16 year old self...hindsight really is 50/50.
