Only way that makes sense is if Troy took the gun n tax made him count 10 Mississippis while he run out the spot.
If u take a gun from a nikka most likely they getting shot right there especially if u just saw ur man's die. The fact that tax aint get shot and had mad space between them before troy popped out with the gun, it makes more sense that it was picked up after tax dropped it.
