I don't see the downside to this if he was coming in as a 2nd rounder. Romo is like 33 anyway so they need a plan for the future since they are set on signing him to an extension. Maybe he needs something like this in order to light a fire under his ass. And maybe Barkley will perform if he has that star on his helmet.
