As a side note, why the fukk is the Simpson still on the air? :dahell:

The shyt is whack as fukk now. Who the fukk wants to see John Legend and his funny looking wife on the simpsons. . I'm highly suspicious as to what's still keeping them on the air with ratings when most of their fans from the golden days reject the latest seasons.

The best time to end it would have been between 1997 and 2000, when it was still somewhat funny and at least capable of a couple classic episodes/quotes. Now, it doesn't do anything. It's not thought provoking anymore, it's not really funny, the characters are all tired and bored, and they recycle the same plots every season. It just sits there every Sunday night at 8:00 and brings in enough ratings to survive.

The stupid thing is because it's animated, they could have revived it years after the classic run ended with new writers/producers and brought a new energy to it. But they never ended it so the show never got a chance to refresh itself, and now, it can't go anywhere because they refuse to be creative about anything, except the couch gags (which they bring in other people to do).

Disney owning it means two things: Either they still see the show as profitable and they will ensure that it continues making new episodes for years, or they will end it the minute they see it as an unnecessary expense. It's just crazy how it's been on the air for thirty years, and it hasn't tried to experiment or do anything different in about twenty years. :mjcry:

:dwillhuh: They pulled the MJ episode off of the Oprah/HBO ____??

I love the Simpsons/Futurama and still defend it's its current Run and all, but nah....

What's even better is that they never kept that same energy with Lena Dunham and her episode...

Bart needs to call up Moe's Tavern like "Hi, I'm looking for MJ, last name Pleisse."
Moe: Yeah, sure, Can I get a Pliesse, M.J.? Do we have an M.J. Pliesse in the building!?
