he's an incredible wrestling genius when you think about how many times he recreated himself and re-kickstarted his career after the tag team broke up.
also glad having kids turned his life around. i thought dude was on track to be the next scotch hall.

Who would've ever thought Matt would be retiring before Jeff. He'll be a great agent and has a mind for the business, plus he got Maxel & Wolfgang on deck to be Hardy Boyz 2.0 in 20 years. From the L's of Matt Hardy to Broken Matt, he reinvented himself and became a legend. Thank You Matt

He had a great career. After the Hardy team he did Matt Hardy V1 which got over huge.
He also spun his own misfortune with Edge/Lita into a worked/shoot angle that caught
and got himself back in WWE.
On their rebranded ECW show he put on some great singles matches that went under the radar.
Then he revived TNA and created the entire Broken character and universe out of his own pocket and filmed on his own land.. complete creative control.. went viral.
Then secured a bag off WWE for it.
In typical WWE fashion they had no clue what to do with it and he ended up working a tag with Bray and honestly it's the most over Bray has been in a while.
Matt always got over whatever and wherever he was and reinvented himself several times over.
That's a lot more than your average wrestler can say.
