Weird: I just thought to myself, "wow there is such a long list of people to go after, the gov would be so busy for years"
then it dawned on me, that's the whole damn raison d'etre of the gov

I mean to draw this tired parallel again to the Mafia... the government in the Gambino indictments took down the most powerful connected organized crime outfit ever, and eventually the whole mob in the late 80s early 90's by busting people and asking them about crimes that may have happened decades ago till they eventually knew who killed who and ordered and controlled what for the previous 40 years. This is on seasoned gangsters and many of whom who would rather die than snitch. Or would even die as a result of snitching. They got so thoroughly in a more secretive organizations ass that you can go on Wikipedia and read a timeline of exactly how the mob unfolded from 1950-1990
