according to anyone that believes every child brought into this world should be fed, clothed, educated, housed in a safe environment with parents who actually want the child and have a plan for the child that they have the means and intentions to carry out.
It's strange you have to explain this to folks in a supposedly first world country who you would think would know better, and expect more in terms of quality of life.
There's folks that can barely feed themselves having children, folks that had no desire to have, never mind take care of a child. At least when folks have kids in poor third world countries, the parents (especially the mother) are wholly dedicated to the children. It's a poor family, but a family nonetheless (with no access to, or a religious aversion to birth control - hence the numerous kids)
We're in a supposedly developed, first world nation but got a portion of the population living in third world conditions, and y'all sitting here like it's fine. Wholesale sterilization is not the answer, but this is a problem that requires solution, not complacency. The goal as far as I'm concerned should be educated stable ADULTS (emotionally, and economically) choosing to have children. Not kids having to drop out of school to support a newborn, compromising their own future because they don't know any better. I know some of you are going to point out the few exceptions that were able to excel despite being born into these situations, and overlook the large amounts who will continue to live in struggle only to start the cycle over with another generation.
One day in the future, black folk in America will rise up from poverty, be better educated, have a large economic stake in the country, and as a result there will be a natural drop in fertility rates (just like every developed nation). Some of y'all going to be out here like "this is a cac conspiracy to exterminate us

"
