I understand the dire situation. But it would have taken less than 30 seconds for people passing by to collect that woman and put her in the back. If she was my relative, I would've been extremely grateful if someone collected her even if she was dead, so that I can easily identify her body, then try to identify through DNA remnants of burned bones and ash a month later. But not everyone is selfless and I understand that and also don't hold it against them.

You dont understand how fast smoke can incapacitate a human. 30 seconds is all you need to be on the ground gasping for air.

No they Cant and it will make stuff worse because Local buisnesses and mom and pop store probably burned down. Me and wife had to move from the big island because we were spending 1,200 on food dude to the ports not bringing in shipments and stores jacking up prices. I can only imagine how the aftermath will reek havoc on the economy and families trying to survive all this

One could argue calamities have been happening since forever. Pretty sure when WW1 and WW2 was going on, folks thought the world was ending. Sadly, this way of thinking contributes to the slow pace of development in 3rd world countries. Why bother doing x y z when the world will end anyway. Don’t let religion disarm you.

But surely the lord would understand no human lives to be a thousand years. So in essence that verse is insidious. My dude, be careful. That verse provides justification for the delay of swift retribution.

I’m heading there tomorrow to help volunteer with Red Cross this weekend. It it’s good to see people care and take the time to ask people if they need anything. People coming together from all walks of life to help out.
