i wonder if the people that complain about this are just afraid that it might work.

The are. And they feel like the 76ers "won't deserve it" -- even though all we talk about in sports is fan bases that have earned a trip to the playoffs/etc after years of struggle.


Philly as a city and a people ... is an armpit. So fukkem. But I don't hold the sixers tanking against them. Team is about to be real.

Philly has only been bad for a couple of years and for what its worth, their drafting has been promising at worst. They're doing their homework in terms of prospects.

You only feel bad for the paying customer and the paying customer seems to be OK with this. They realized being the Atlanta Hawks sucks. Can't blame them.

I also think people re just mad because it's the Sixers. Let the Wolves or Hornets or some team like try some shyt like this and people will be like "tank forever if you want, see if I care"

They still had a roster of NBA players. There's 3-4 NBA level players on the Sixers. Most of those guys would not be on any other roster in the league.

Philly is creating a toxic atmosphere too. How are you going to create a positive/winning culture when your team is actively trying to lose games. The guys like MCW and Noel who have actual talent are going to develop terrible habits. They are going into every game absolutely hopeless.

that's kinda what EVERYONE believes when teams rebuild or tank.

2-3 years drafting high, young cheap core, the sky's the limit. That's always the belief, or the hope that you draft someone so promising other stars wanna join them (destination players, if you will)

The problem is...winning is something you learn to do...

So...when does this team learn to do it?

When does Noel learn to win?

When does MCW learn to win?

These dudes have been in an organization that hasn't done anything but lose and lose big...

So how do they go from that to winning...because they are not just going to snap their fingers and make it happen...

Maybe Embiid could be that guy...but we are going to have to wait until you know...he actually plays an NBA game first...to find out
