these are all legends in their own right but they have some of the worst hypebeast fanbases in the galaxy and its beyond irritating
Max B - Kanye tweeted his album name "Waves" and a bunch of cornballs on there "hey look at me i know who max b is" shyt. 90% of those fakkits have never listened to a Max B song or didnt know who he was before 2014. bunch of fakkits screaming Free Max B but probably didnt sign that petition he had for release or probably wouldnt put money on his books or even spend money on his albums
Dilla - the "dilla saved my life" hypebeasts who didnt know who he was until he died. if im wrong, why did Electric Circus flop? theyre mainly all revisionist stans at best who probably were unaware of Dilla's genius until after he became an undergrond prodigy and died after. mang of them probably are still clueless of his Tribe, Busta, early Pete Rock Jr shyt. and the "Dilla Saved My Life" shirts kills me because im 99% sure his mother doesnt see the money from the shirts and some corny hipster cac who became a Dilla fan when Donuts came out is using the money to buy thong slippers in all sorts of colors
Wu-Tang - the ones who own the Enter The 36 Chambers album but not Ironman, Tical, OB4CL, Liquid Swords, etc. Ask many of these new age Wu Tang fans about the individual members and theyll name half of them but cant name any of their songs. only the ones on the very first CD. Disgrace. bunch of white chicks and latinas who wear that stupid black shirt with the yellow wu tang logo. thats being sold in Forever21. forever 21. not Wu Wear. shouldnt be buying Wu gear if Oliver Grant isnt seeing any money from it imo
camron - hipster cacs who overglamourize his pink everything/dipset era completely disregarding his 1998-2000 run when he was way more lyrical with his rhymes. i do agree though that his Roc-A-Fella/Pink Everything run was better in terms of the marketing and brand but thats all those hypebeasts praise him for. literally never see them talking about his lyrics. and if they did theyd equally pay homage to his 98-2000 run also. its like only hood nikkas from New York remember he existed before Roc-A-Fella
pimp c - now this might be the worst one. Pimp was a legend, strictly because of the fact that he was real. the word "real" is overused today but its necessary here. nikka basically stated in many interviews hiw his beef with nikkas like Master P and Jeezy was some backwards shyt and that he was fighting the wrong battle, claiming that its what the white corporate suits wanted rappers to do. to beef with each other. he saw the divide and conquer scheme and tried to enlighten many of his mates of it. but unfortunately died before most of the shyt he was talking about could pop off. for that alone he's a legend. but for some reason its like this corny Pimp C fad going on is strictly about how much of a pimp he was or how "cool" he was or some shyt. nikka wasnt even a real pimp, and this was stated in his book. the man just had alot of genuine admirable qualities yet none of these hypebeasts seem to rememeber him for any of those reasons
not mad at all. just some shyt i had to point out. always felt that if you decide to praise or idolize a person, you should from a genuine place and not to be cool or not as a "fad". this fad fandom i see of certain legends is disgusting. i see it with ASAP Yams too
