I don’t usually say this but I don’t know what his ceiling is. If I had to guess maybe Caron Butler? I’ll get a better idea after this postseason

Is Joey Buss involved too? He's also a couple years older IIRC. But yeah, there's a big gulf there with their brothers who are in their 60s.

The Lakers have largely drafted well over the past decade. And getting Reaves undrafted still remains amazing.

Yup. It's Jesse and Joey doing their thing. The two older ones are the fakkits.

:what:

Yal just be saying anything. So it's a horrible trade getting AD and SGA back for Doncic?

Man... what?
Lol U realize Dallas did not get SGA, right?
They got a player that they hope can become a poor man's SGA.
The SGA comparison is because SGA was one of many pieces OKC got for 29-year-old Paul George in 2019.
Except OKC also got another SIX pieces to build their team into the #1 seed that it is today.
25-year-old Luka is way more valuable than Paul George ever was.

:snoop: :what:

As a Laker fan, honestly, I was never too impressed by him as others, maybe because in LA, he never really had a chance to prosper since we either had guys who played his position better, expectations to win were higher so the theory was that he wasn't good enough while needing more time to develop or coaching miscues so his time on the court was minimized or not very impactful.

This season, JJ made him an integral part of the rotation, so you saw more of his talent on display that wasn't present in the last few seasons.

I will say he's surprised me a bit with his play in Dallas, which is good for him because they need him, whereas, in LA, it felt like he was on borrowed time. I don't know what his ceiling is, but he's clearly a starting-level guard.

Darvin Ham had him getting DNPs when the Lakers were starving for wing defenders who can hit corner 3’s

It’s a huge part of why he lost the locker room and why they fired him

Brehs blaming Bron when the reality is there is no Reaves or even DLO on the Mavs to take responsibility from him outside of Kyrie. lol

He gonna be a cool player I guess.
I think the highest he could get is 2nd option on a bad team.
3rd option on a mediocre team. 4th option on a contender.
It really just depends on what kind of opportunity he gets in his career and whether he chases the bag or tries to get in good situations.

But I feel like once you get past the top 20 or so players in the league it's a lot of nikkas you could say that about :yeshrug:

Ham didn't give him the opportunity to do any of that despite being good in limited appearances, so I'm glad he at least gets a crack at it elsewhere
