yeah this a 4.25/5. His rhyme style and the production really shouldn't match, but it's perfect.

This is FIRE! 2nd half of the album is really strong. "Mama's Purse" is the one tho.

First off the beat has some crazy ass sample with this dirty sounding Xylophone or Glockenspiel, maybe some slowed down chimes or something. Then you got these smooth background vocals. The bass hits on my subs and the drum pattern stirs up something ancestral from deep within me that makes me wanna move. Then Maxo comes on and spits his heart out...does some story telling about his family thats sad, introspective, nostalgic, gangsta and just dope. Its as good of a song as one could ever have the pleasure of hearing.

He killed this one.

Gave this a spin today. Been rocking with Maxo for a minute and he continues to drop consistent dope projects. I like the second half a little better than the first but he has plenty of joints I ran back. Definitely adding this to my rotation.
