I gave Adele her props but then we got into Sam smith, I stated maxwell and tank were better artist and they told me I was crazy

It's funny because if there is a "delay in your project" it more than likely has to do with funding from the label. Because the label doesn't see you as marketable...whereas someone like Sam Smith doesn't have to worry about that

More "marketable" meaning what? What's marketable? Black people ARE marketed even when we aren't. Most white singers and entertainers been taking what we make hot and re-appropriate it.

Sorry but Adele cannot touch Ledisi, Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, Brandy, Jill Scott or a good number of other Black women who can sing CIRCLES around her fat azz. Before this thread goes left..Sam Smith is a dope singer but Maxwell is due to his experience, longevity, voice, etc


Also everybody is rocking with England's music right now(far as R&B/Pop singers) So of course Sam is catapulted to where he is, but. And he doesn't sound like what a typical "white artist"(hate I had to include race)

Sam Smith shouldn't be included in an argument with Maxwell just yet imo. His body of work doesn't even compare. In 5-10 years then holla at us. Its too early
