I think his example is that you are aware of status of the home, the renovations needed, yet still agree to purchase, do all of the preliminary ppwk, but then back out during closing.

He knew what I was talking about. You don't go to closing unless you've got your inspection, have the seller fix the issues if they were found. There are still loopholes (contigencies) to get out of it at closing, but then you're liable for legal action by the seller.

That would be a violation of Crosby's privacy.
Crazy part the Ravens and Crosby were the only parties operating in good faith.

Raiders are playing the PR game....that only works on idiots smh

+Ravens never announced the health issues related to Nnamdi Madubike (who many have speculated to potentially retire from a neck injury)
same for Jaire Alexander

Word of the day:CONTINGENT
While the Nnamdi thing was a question mark, Jaire at least got traded to Philly and passed his physical before deciding to step away

I dont think either of those situations warranted disclosure, but at this point they're throwing smut on names with the half-assed allegations. If it aint a HIPAA violation (it probably is), then fukk it
this whole thing probably passes over in like a week anyways..

We can't be aware of the renovations needed until a physical test/inspection......
We did our part getting external opinions from MULTIPLE surgeons.......
The trade is contingent on Crosby passing the physical

Adam Schefter on Maxx Crosby's failed Ravens physical:

"My understanding is that there were multiple doctors that reviewed his MRI scans. There were doctors that examined him, including Dr. Daniel Cooper, the Dallas Cowboys doctor that performed surgery on Patrick Mahomes and Malik Nabers ... many teams & players rely on Dr. Cooper's expertise. And Dr. Cooper was one of the doctors that reviewed the images where the Ravens then felt compelled to back out of this trade."

Doctors/Surgeons
.....confirmed Crosby's bill of health ain't looking right

....Raiders tried to pull a fast one...I don't understand why it's difficult for you to register they tried to sell stepped on work as pure

Yeah...and after inspection, you can also still agree to purchase without fixing the issues, and get $$$ knocked off. At some point, there's good faith agreement...I think that's all he was getting at. But you're completely right. You can do anything you want, including change your mind at the last second...hell, even after that, if we're being technical.

But it's like the Carlos Boozer's situation. There was a verbal agreement, a commitment to go forward with the transaction, with knowing all of the information. Ultimately, Ravens backed out because a better situation came about. Now Maxx & Raiders have to pivot.

The failed physical was just an excuse. They knew about this in advance before they committed to it. And I'm a Raiders fan. I just laughed - laughed when the trade was announced, laughed harder when rescinded.

By all accounts even other NFL front offices think some fishy shyt went down but these two geniuses calling everybody dumb for thinking the same lol.

How many of those teams saw the physical? :beli:

Their opinion is irrelevant without that information.

It’s been made clear by multiple people around the NFL at all levels that Baltimore had all the information and understood where Maxx Crosby’s knee was in terms of his recovery timeline. Many in the league believe GM Eric DeCosta and the Ravens ultimately just got cold feet.

They didn't have ALL the information until the MRI results came in.

Again this is not the first time a trade was voided after a physical. Texans did it in 2022 and traded up for Will Anderson Jr. In the 2023 draft. No one cared.

[Wolfe] One NFL GM told me everybody involved in Maxx Crosby talks knew he would be out until June/July coming off meniscus surgery. Consensus opinion I’ve got from NFL decision makers: Ravens got cold feet & it could impact how other teams work w/ BAL going forward.

Again, they all knew the timetable but without seeing the MRI results that's irrelevant. The doctors saw something they didn't like or could be an issue. Mind you the Cowboys doctor was in on the process and now reports say the Cowboys are out on Maxx. Two teams who saw the test results are out but you're putting more stock into the opinions of nameless personnel who didn't see anything. Tell those GM's to put up two firsts then. Guarantee that anyone trying to trade for him are thanking the Ravens for lowering the price.

It's a subjective process though. Every doctor can look at the knee and say it's 90% chance he returns to full health. No doctor will ever guarantee that someone will return fully healthy. If Baltimore gets cold feet or sees that Hendrickson is a real option (which they may not have thought before), then they could use that 10% doubt as a reason to back out. To act like that wiggle room doesn't exist is being obtuse. Them signing so Trey so quickly after the trade fell apart lends itself to that being exactly what happened. Two first round picks (one being 14th) + Hendrickson is a way better option than giving up two first for Maxx.

They signed Trey because he's the only big time pass rusher who wasn't signed:dead:

Obviously they didn't want to use pick 14 on an edge because all of the top guys will be off the board. Their plan was to get a veteran. They traded for Maxx. He failed the physical. They had to sign the next best available edge. It's that's simple and there's no conspiracy. They would've just signed Trey from jump and not gave up the picks if they valued them that much. Teams don't package two 1sts by an impulse decision. They don't make that move if they have second thoughts. Maxx was their guy until the MRI came in.

Bro, stop going back and forth with these goofy ass nikkas. They never negotiated for anything of value in their life. I’m getting dumber reading their responses. “wHy tHeY lIStEn tO cOwBoYs dAcToR?

You're absolutely right. It's pretty obvious what happened
Just using reasoning with the path of least resistance

Even if the Ravens didn’t operate in good faith, the responses are showing the literacy rate in public schools is in dirt.
