I posted a thread at theover a year ago with an interview with Questlove on Neal Brennan's podcast saying the album was finished, he had heard it, it was incredible and Roc Nation was waiting on him to deliver a hit single before they would green light the project...

To be fair, questlove stays saying shyt like that, im still waiting for zach de la rochas "incredible" album 13 years after he appeared on roni size's album
Well you're arguing semantics on rather or not the album is incredible... The point is that it has been completed...

nikkas will blame Hov for everything
Ya'll acting like this nikka was on some Curren$y shyt (dropping a lot of albums and mixtapes), nikkas was complaining about him releasing music b4 he signed.
If Roc-Nation signed this dude thinking they was gonna get any kinda radio friendly single (and that's actually the hold up), them they need to reconsider what they are doing. You sign Jay Elec bc he will hopefully put together a strong enough project to sell by word of mouth.
Yeah, Jay Elec never seemed like the type to drop club friendly hits with Drake. Labels need variety and stop trying to force artists into a box. They're worried about the money of it all but sitting on a finished album is a loss.
If Wu Tang would have signed with LaFace instead of Steve Rifkind in '93 they would have never met their potential.. There have always been labels that placed radio play and sales over everything even in 1993..I'm talking about Wu not getting play in 93 if they were signed to Roc Nation.
You know radio, album sales and rap was different back then.

Electronica and Roc was always a bad marriage imo.. But I don't blame them, its his fault for signing the deal...
