quiet as kept, I lowkey think Gelo, might fukk around and be a Jared Dudley 2.0
If you can shoot on the wing, then you can shoot on the wing. Kyle kover and Mike Dunleavy got passes for being less athletic but great knockdown shooters....
Both of those comps are terrible.
Kyle Korver is one of the best shooters in history. He's had seasons shooting close to 50% from three even though practically every shot is an instant catch-and-shoot with a defender rushing towards him. Gelo was only 35% from the short little high school line even though most of those shots were cherry-picking threes off fast breaks or basically open shots over shorter defenders. Their shooting ability is not even close. Not to mention that Korver is 4" taller than Gelo and releases far higher and quicker than him, so he has a much easier time getting that shot off.
And Dunleavy was never just a shooter, he's always been a do-everything player. He could shoot, drive, pass, rebound, play defense when he was younger, and his basketball I.Q. (son of a former player and coach) was fantastic. When he was on Duke he was one of the best rebounders and rim protectors on the team, and one of the national leaders in steals. And like Korver, he's 4" taller than Gelo. All those skills turned out to be mediocre at the NBA level, and his slowness hurt him a lot...but at least he's mediocre at everything. Gelo straight sucks at all those same things.
If Gelo was 6'9" instead of 6'5" AND he had a motor, he might have a chance in the league. As it is, he has no chance in hell. There are hundred ballers who shoot just as well as him
and who demonstrate actual athleticism and try on defense.
