Don't listen to @Professor, I have been watching English soccer, listening to Britiah announcers, watching British interviews, debating Brits on Reddit, etc for about 10 years. The British don't use the term "boy" when insulting at all. The Irish speak very similarly if not exactly the same to the English (Northern Ireland is British territory).
