c/s, and it has to be said, tyson in particular in his prime. his ring walks alone let you know it was real. i remeber when he fought bruno in 96, the tension just for the ring walks shyt was crazy. There is NOTHING like a big fight. Nothing. I'm not even an MMA hater or anything like that but boxing is a hundred years of greatness in this country.. a huge fight I get chills. Super Bowl is an enormous event and more for casuals/women and it's a great party but if you're team isn't in it you can't get AS invested. Boxing is just different man.![]()

PPV literally has nothing to do with the general "health" of a sport. Most nations have beloved sports and they don't pay PPV to watch them.
Boxing would be in trouble if no one actually bought the fight this weekend. Not people bytching after spending $100.
If the next mega fight earns nothing, then you can say the sport is washed.

Hell didn't Mexico get the fight for free? And boxing sure as hell is more popular overall in Mexican culture than U.S culture. PPV doesn't mean jack.
it means a lot in America, which is what we are talking about you.PPV literally has nothing to do with the general "health" of a sport. Most nations have beloved sports and they don't pay PPV to watch them.

Huh? Why are you cats obsessed over mega fights. That's not what keeps a sport alive. There are more to it than $.so who is fighting? where all these mega fights
seems likeall we talk about is mayweather and pacqiou
well over a billion. PPV could be damn near half a billie alone. not to mention tickets, thousands of hotels rooms that went for 5 times the regular price, gas spent to drive into LV, flights, bottles copped, cabanas/ tables paid for. im sure dominoes, paps johnd, wing stop ate good nation wide.Yeah it hit me how huge it was when the buzz on Saturday was out of control. Mad people in the grocery store, employees making bets with customers lol. I invited people over and a good amount already had plans. Probably generated a billion for the economy...
