Sold out in less than 24 Hours, already broke the live gate record. :krs:

Golden Boy Promotions chief executive Richard Schaefer told ESPN.com the fight will generate a minimum of $18,647,000 in ticket sales and "it could go up to a little shy of $19 million depending on the number of comps that are given out. It's going to be the record. The MGM is calculating and has to do the ticket settlement, but it will definitely be the record."

I think its going to break ppv records as well. People been starvin for thos n1gga to fight another fighter in their prime.

Too bad Sho has Floyd. HBO would have this ppv approaching 3mil buys.

:salute: to Money May, He Just Lays Golden Eggs

Pac v. Mayweather if it happened two years ago was sure to be bigger than this.... oh well

Pac & Mayweather are still the 2 biggest draws in the sport. WHEN they fight, it will smash all records.

...and lets not fool ourselves here- Mayweather fights on MEXICAN holidays against MEXICANS for a reason: they support their fighters. And please believe its Canelo to thank for the sold out arena. He just finished packing 40,000 in Texas. So even more mexicans will be coming out to watch him challenge the best fighter on the planet. Mayweather's reaping the benefits of Canelo's ethnicity and popularity.

This fight just solidifies that no one cares about him vs Pac man anymore. And if he wins this ... Pacman is a mere distant memory. Well played by Floyd.

That's part of it, but Mayweather is obviously a larger part of the draw. Mexicans want to support certain fighters, but obviously a lot of folks want to see either May win or lose.

Mayweather proving he can break records with other fighters, something Pac can't do. Pac needs May, May don't need Pac.

Beautiful.

Pac stans...:umad:

Not a Mayweather fan but I don't see anyone beating him. He's gonna retire with an unblemished record.

He'd have to keep fighting until he's slipping significantly or someone with one shot power catches him randomly

Has more to do with the lack of talent in this era. Duran, Hearns, Hagler, and Sugar woulda murdered this n1gga.:beli:

Yea but two years ago it would have been the biggest fight ever.

Now Pac is :flabbynsick:

The allure of that fight was because nobody knew who would win. Pac was demolishing welterweights on sight and Mayweather was the most gifted fighter in his era.

The fight has lost its luster. Canelo v. Money May is much more interesting than Pac v. May today

Everybody knows that Mayweather is going to win now (now that Pac has lost two in a row and the last loss was a devastating KO against a guy Mayweather completely outclassed (JMM)),

That fight two years ago would have done astronomical numbers, I mean destroyed the record times two.

2 out of 4 maybe.

Hagler? Well he did fight at and domniate a division Floyd has never fought at in his entire career. What's your point again breh?:aicmon:

Duran? :childplease: So he's gonna land consistently on Floyd, when he couldn't land on a less defensively skilled SRL when he decided to fight him smart and move?

Hearns? :ehh: I think you got that one there. I think this is a matchup nightmare for Floyd. If he fought smart and used his reach and boxing skills:whoa:

SRL? I think that would be a pretty evenly matched fight. Leonard is bigger & stronger, Floyd is quicker and better defensively. A toss up right there in my eyes.
