I'm probably going to take heat for this, but MBDTF is my favorite album of all time. All time periods, all genres of music, etc. Its got great replay value, I probably listen to it still a couple times a week. I would consider myself a pretty big Kanye West fan, but wouldn't consider myself a Stan.
If I had to rank all his records, it would go like this:
MBDTF
College Dropout
Graduation
808s
Late Registration
I would put WTT between Graduation and 808s, and I would put Cruel Summer last, even though they are both pretty good.

I mean all three are 5 mics and pretty close, but as far as production the first two, as far as lyrics and concepts MBDTF. CD is the most simple type of music, simple production, simple rhyming and not as creative as he's been on his other projects. I guess that was the charm of it. It was straight no gloss simple hiphop. But MBDTF took it to that other level again like LR. I fukks with the Dark, Kanye. Happy, funny Kanye is dope but he's in rare form when he's in dark mode.

I've never really liked Late Registration much (see previous post), but it always gets so much love on the Internets. This thread convinced me the queue it up. It may be better than I have been giving it previous credit for.
