I think the funniest thing about these threads is that one picture of a certified dime hugging up on a guy that looks and acts like Ian Jones Quartey would stop the discussion in its tracks, but hundreds of thousands of think pieces, articles, forum threads, videos, and social media posts about this subject that spans over a decade and not one image.

I listed black male celebs that bw fukk with: Tyler lepley, aldis hodge, yahya Abdul, kofi soribe, trevante Rhodes, Keith powers, Lamman Rucker, Christian Keyes. None are hood or thuggish yet they are still considered sexy. Most if not all of them date brehettes.

Black women like men who have nice bodies and faces, and give off sex appeal.

This site is full of Brehs that were called corny when they were younger by Brehettes or who didn’t pull the brehettes they wanted. Some probably were average looking, others ugly, some awkward, some couldn’t dress, etc, most just weren’t that dude in high school. Obviously ain’t healed or over it, so they take these situations and internalize it.

What’s weird is they only focus on the fact that they aren’t hood enough as the biggest reason they weren’t desired lol. it doesn’t cross their mind that it could be a variety of things, starting with looks and awkwardness.

It’s crazy because I didn’t know a population of nerdy unwanted Brehs existed to this extent until this site. My older brother, my cousins, uncles, my son’s father and his cousins… man look. 99 problems but pulling a female was never one of them. if anything it was the opposite (too many female in rotation). Granted they were all athletes (football or basketball), and actually considered attractive, and admittedly they all had that swag and could dress… but still. it’s wild that there’s a population of Brehs that struggle this hard with brehettes.just get becky and be done with it.

But as a breh who in his younger (and skinnier ) days was called corny and square i think theres some nuance here thats missing.

The frustration is because:

1. This feels like a unique problem to black men: ive lived around and encountered cacs and non blacks for most of my ilife and let me tell you: this whole thing about "well maybe you nikkas were awkward, uglier, and far more repulsive than you ever considered" is a bit misplaced. I mean shyt MAYBE WE WERE. But if thats true, then how come our non black counterparts arent having the same problems with women??

For example: Im a Officer in the military and graduated from Officer Training School a few years ago. Graduation is a big deal so everyones families come out and such. Let me tell you: TO THIS DAY, I was SHOCKED at the amount of gangly, awkward, nasally voiced cacs who had gorgeous wives and girlfriends. Couldnt believe some of em. And keep in mind, these are officers wives so either theyve been married to these women as enlisted men OR they met these women in college so these arent desperate women looking for a military comeup.

For some time, i knew there was difference in how non black men were perceived and valued, but seeing that was the icing on the cake. I imagine that despite alotta of those dudes being super goofy and nerdy, their women were conditioned to not put a premium on social standing and physical looks (or they have interests that intersected with the things their men like) and didnt box those men in to a very narrow standard of masculinity.


2. We actually *dont* want White Women as serious partners: I wont even front, cac bytches can be sexy and ive had an easier time fukkin them than any other race of women

With that said, I cannot imagine settling down with a non black woman. Most white i can do is a mulatto. I think its the same with most brehs.

So going after Becky may be easier, but in our heart of hearts, we want Black women. After all as awkward and corny as brehs can be, we are Black. Our mothers are Black (as we get reminded off, constantly ) . Thats the culture we have the most experience with and it makes sense that we make families in that culture as well.

3. Many Black men want the community to be better but feel villainized no matter what we do: If you do go White, despite Black Women telling you "go take your corny ass elsewhere and be happy " we are retroactively called self hating brehs who *always* wanted White Women. We are told theres no good men in the community yet the Brehettes seem to be getting pregnant at scale by the worst men. Oh and we are gay or in jail or dusty and not educated etc etc.

Alot of Brehs really want to help the community but want to be occupying a role that is respected and revered. Let me tell you: its really hard to give a shyt about the community and want to help when 50% of the community seems like they are bound and determined to ostracize you despite you just doing you .

LIke part of me hopes MBJ marries a Cac Woman now after all of this because that dude just cannot win with Black Women and the only sin he seems to have committed is (*possibly*?) dating a cac at some point which somehow means he never liked Black women to begin with
