It wasn’t our doing— it was the media. Yes.

That was the image popularized by hiphop, although some on here want to deny it.

. . and through the seemingly-infinite amount of Realty TV shows on VH1 that featured screaming, yelling, fighting, back-stabbing, vanity, lust, hate, envy, etc . .

Yes! Exactly.

Some negroes got paid to make asses of themselves in media, and we foolishly fed into it instead of realizing how degenerate this mess is.

Ironically he seems to attract a lot of IG model and bottle girl types.

The hood been around for decades and poverty been around forever. A "thug" being appealing is a new thing. The stand up strong protector provider is considered lame in comparison to the drugged up, physically weaker deadbeat (see: Russ vs Future). That aint visceral that is societal. Your point about seeking strength when you feel weak is valid. But that is very often not what is happening. Just the thug appeal alone is placed on a pedestal. It used to be men in uniform, athletes, and musicians got all the women. Now the uniform is sagging skinny jeans, dreads, and a ski mask and the athletes and musicians wanna be thugs.

Blame 90s rap and the superthug tales.
