This is a dude that didn't know how to move around or deal with street nikkas cus he never lived that life growing up...not accustomed to maneuvering amongst the wolves everyday so he never picked up that 6th sense...which is why he found himself in alot of precarious situations that could've easily been avoided had he had that upbringing. And he came in the game with no street connections of his own, so in any situation where he's dealing with street nikkas...he's going to have to outsource his protection...which, no matter what situation he's in...it makes him an expendable outsider and a easy target.
