Mc hammer being broke had been a punchline in rap/entertainment for at least 15 years prior to that bar but when Jay Z says it now he felt the need to respond with a wackass diss track :dead:

If I remeber right Jay Z said that bar because MC Hammer was talking shyt about Jay Z's song "Kingdom Come". The song like MC Hammer's 'Can't Touch This" both sample Rick James' "Superfreak".

On the song Jay Z says
"I had to dust off the hammer, dance can't touch this"

MC Hammer was mad about the song or the line, I forget, and that's why Jay Z responded back with the 30 million line.

Hammer can do a show tomorrow and make bank
Would probably blow the money on some other shyt though

He helped put on a 100 people when he had it
nikkas need to return the favor

Yes he did…

Hammer was the perfect role model for black people.

He married and remained with a black woman, had g checked some of your favorite rappers, and was the reason that a rapper can have some extra income outside of rap.

Didnt even stunt on his people. U never heard about Hammer getting his chain stolen either.

Not to mention that he’s one of the few cats in rap other than Fat Joe that didn’t get punked by Suge

Hammer got that Gangham Style stimulus and put on airs again. SMH

That said I thought he was doing better as they were trying to say he was doing well with his tech investments a year ago
Not gonna lie reading that article makes me think Hammer has ADHD. He is involved in a whole lot of nothing.

““On a day-to-day basis, I’m loosely involved with about eight [technology] companies that I’m excited about,” MC Hammer said in the Oprah profile. “Everything from advising to consulting to investing in, it keeps me busy 10 to 12 hours a day.”

His problem is he is always looking for the next lick and hasn’t built any institutional wealth. My 17 year old has bitcoin and square stock.

Damn hammer down bad!!!! Why not put no money down to keep the payments in check if you don’t have tons of liquidity. Paid 134k for my GLE 63s had the payments under $1,500 with just 25k down. Makes no sense to be underwater on these huge ass loans.

Why do people thing Land Rovers are good cars?
Range Rovers are kinda overrated but the L663 Defender is the ultimate luxury all-purpose vehicle with no comparison in its class

I wouldn’t buy a fully loaded high-tech luxury SUV unless I was rich tho. He should’ve just leased it like most regular people do

It appears MC Hammer does not currently own the master recordings of his music. In 2006, Billboard reported that EverGreen Copyrights acquired his music catalog.

Just before streaming started :to:

He has 3.5 million listeners on Spotify per month, let's be conservative and say that those people only listen to him once and only one song. That's about 12k per month for Spotify alone to the owner of his rights. Say another 12 from Apple. That's 24k per month conservatively speaking. Then add all other services like youtube etc. That's a solid upper middle class salary.

I feel bad for the people that sold their rights before streaming took off, the valuation must've been way off.

They won't. I don't listen to none of these miggaz who get on platforms saying such and such owe them or don't pick up anymore.

End of the day people are responsible only for their wife and kids
