They probably do have tuition reimbursement for a certain position if you get a certain grade. A lot of large companies have that.

Actually...they do have a program for that. You've got to be employed there for so long and work a set amount of hours first before you're eligible I believe.

I would imagine the crew doesn't get full-time hours. Also what city is it? How much is health insurance and dental? I could go on and on lol.

Oooh that's a good point!

Retail/fast food jobs will show a decent hourly wage.....but notice that there was no mention of healthcare, full time vs part time status etc.

If the job requires FT status to get health insurance, and FT = 37 hrs/week....they'll give you 25 to 34-ish hours. Enough to make it tricky trying to work a second job but not enough to qualify for the health insurance plan.

If you DO qualify for insurance, the employer contribution is probably trash and you end up paying $$$$$ out of your check for a $5,000 deductible, 70/50 coinsurance plan. Only McD's corporate would get the good shyt (finance, accounting, marketing, R & D, top execs etc.).

A Mississippi Cotton Field
3-5 hour shifts. Crew leader and all.

Not doing it now, but I done worked a lotta fast food and managed/GM'ed at 3 different fast food joints.

Lotta fast food wages shot up during the COVID era, because fast food places didn't close. They were on the "essential" list. Them and liquor stores, believe it or not.

Corporate said fukk it, we're gonna be replacing 3/4 of workers with robots and drive thru workers from india in a few years anyway.

But hours were like that waaay before COVID.

Yes, even places like Wendy's in middle of nowhere Mississippi will pay 18 dollars an hour.... if you don't mind working 2 or 3 hours a day.

Small franchise places like Subway are different though. They'll pay you minimum wage still.
