Had a talk about this when they were kicking black excellence out the door.
1.Their price points are too high for the quality of the food. Everyone has a spot in their neighborhood where they can get a real burger for a meal cost at McDonald's for like a dollar more. Their pricing doesn't make sense either, a 10 piece nugget meal cost more than 20 nuggets.
2. Even though I don't eat McDonald's they need to figure out how to make the dollar menu to be a dollar. Its was a reliable long hustle. 100 people giving you $1 isn't the same as 20 people giving you $5 even though it has the same results.
3. They need to embrace the secret menu recipes. Its like remixing your menu without doing anything. It'll get people in the door.
