Now that I feel Ive been able to sit with both albums for a good amount of time Ive come to the conclusion Magna Carta is a better album than GKMCLets get into it
The intro for MCHG(HolyGrail) is imo the worst intro track for a Jay album..that being said..it is still more entertaining than that boring ass Sherane track that I skip after the initial first listen
Next..bytch Dont Kill my Vibe is one of the greatest rap songs in the last few years and Picasso baby is just an okay song..
Backseat Freestyle vs Tom ford
Backseat freestyle was cool for a few listens but waned rather quickly while Tom ford tho at first I was
by it..it has grown to be a banger

Art of peer pressure is a very well written story in rhyme form that reinforces the strength of peer pressure..and if this wasnt rap MUSIC i would give it to Art of Peer Pressure but fckwitmeuknowigotit is just
From the powerful delivery of Ross' bars on his verse and the hook to Jay with his ill slick well delivered wordplay over that bangin ass beat

Now Money Trees vs Oceans
This is a very tough call cuz both are very good songs for different reasons..
Money trees with a very light yet catchy hook and sound to it and kdot with the "ya bish" cadence he introduced to the song made a very dope track..and Jay Rock added a nice touch to the song.
While Jay accompanied by Frank Ocean who does a great job on the hook delivers a powerful metaphorical piece about the black man's past and how it relates and signifies Jay-Z's accomplishments makes a powerful record...tough choice but I'll have to give it to Money Trees because tho the substance of Oceans had more "uuumph", Money trees musically was just the better song musically all things considered
Now Poetic Justice vs F.U.T.W
AGain, another tough call...2 good tracks from these 2
One being about exactly what it sounds like..Poetic Justice and how looking for love in the wrong place can fukk you up..The other being a call to all black men to recognize their greatness and "fukk up the world"
Poetic Justice which features Drake is a well delivered piece with a beautiful sample of Janet Jackson's "Anytime Anyplace" where kdot in a very metaphorical sense portrays the main idea while Drake who also takes a role of a character within the song helps kdot create a great and well delivered story and song
F.U.T.W was Jay letting it go.. the horns that play during the hook are very helpful in getting the urgency feel of his song across...and Jay spiting very slick yet important rhymes such as my fav few bars from the song
"America tried to emasculate the greats
Murder Malcolm give Cassius the shakes
Wait..tell em rumble young man rumble
They try to dim your lights tell u be humble

And these elements of both songs make this a tough choice..but in the end Im goin to have to give it to Poetic Justice
