If you paid attention early last year you could see that on the low RG3 was an arrogant sumbytch from day one. I actually like that, but it bit him right in his ass last night. All the shyt he talked in the off season did nothing but put undue pressure on himself and the team, (and us fans who have to defend it

true, they are company men too, especially brady, but the difference is they didnt face questions about race and being qb...i know it's bullshyt, but that's what the brotha faced...and he shyed away from it every time he got...whenever they asked him a question, he spit that 'i'm just a qb, i dont see race' bullshyt that rg3 spit last year and cam spit the year before that....mcnabb didnt change his tune until: 1) rush pulled that bullshyt on him; 2) he was at the tailend of his career....that's when he started talking about being a black qb and tried to give words of wisdom...
speaking of cam and rg3: rg3 didnt even have to listen to mcnabb, he couldve looked at how young, vick, moon, brooks, tee martin, etc were treated and used them as learning tools...hell, even more recent he couldve looked at cam...when moon tried to stand beside cam and call the media out on their bullshyt about how they were treating him cause he was black, cam distanced himself from moon and spit that same bullshyt rg3 spit: 'race isnt playing a part in it; i'm just a qb; etc'...the media was like 'uh huh' and kept quiet cause he was doing his thing...the min he fukked up, they started to go in his ass...you can tell cam got the wake up call 'yea, you're a qb, but you're a black qb and there are different rules' cause he's changed his tune...hopefully rg3 gets that wake up call and changes his tune...then him and cam can really piss them off by shytting on the league...
one cat i'm giving credit to is kap...he almost gave the media ammunition and the key to the door with tha mia hat incident...even though it was dumb as fukk to begin with, the man can wear whatever he wants, the media was finna try to use that to get at him....at first he was gonna fukk with people about it, but he decided against it and fell back...which left the media with nothing...now, even if he fukks up on the field, they really not gonna be able to go in on him cause he hasnt opened that door yet...also, russell wilson is the same way...just going about his business...

While I understand WHY he didn't listen to McNabb, he should've spoken with him in private. Honestly, Donovan has been everywhere this kid is trying to get. Only difference between the two is that Robert was embraced by his teams' fans immediately...
The Shanny's probably told Robert that he shouldn't talk to Donovan either, which put him in a bad spot. I honestly thought Donovan would've been the perfect cat to talk to, but he had a falling out with Shanny and shanny wasn't gonna let his prized pupil get any ideas from the "malcontent" Mr. McNabb...
Yall are exactly right, he was VERY arrogant and loved being the "media darling" but like I've told my Skins' fans friends all offseason, THEY HAVE TAPE ON HIM now...not gonna be surprising many folks, and with the spread taking off, everybody is focusing on it. Thats how THIS league runs...
Robert will be humbled, either he'll do it himself, or the media will do it for him. He's a good qb, but has to learn that all microphones aren't good. Plus, he put HIMSELF in a hole by trying to be ready for game one. If that's how they were gonna do it, he shoulda played at least one preseason game. He came into last night's game cold and rusty. He's still hurt too, but he gave himself (and the team) no options but to play. It's clear he's hurt and possibly confused at all of this possible backlash, but again, he did it to himself.
He gotta play better, but he's got a tough one coming up. I live in DC, if he's 0-2, this city is gonna be talking real loud...Stick with the dumpoffs and short passes until he's confident in his leg again, and run the ball please..this is coming from a Cowboys fan who was HAPPY at that game last night lol

that's just it. I cant remember a REAL incident where he ducked some "acknowledge my role as a black qb" shyt. maybe he didn't stand up for certain teammates or some shyt (and playing w/ the guys he did on offense, why should he have?), but that's different than race ducking. totally different. now, maybe he did, but I just cant remember a specific instance. it just seems like people tried to kill him because he wasn't a rah rah guy.
i'm not talking about him sticking up for teammates (that's another convo we can have and i'll make a separate post), i'm keeping it strictly about him being a black qb....there were plenty of times they asked him about being black and qb, playing the game as a black qb, etc....especially early in his career, and he ducked it...like i said, i'm not saying he shouldve been disrespectful militant nor rah rah about it, but dont shy away from it...i know you just wanna be known as a qb, but this america, that shyt aint happening...you are and will always be a black qb....instead of trying to not be that or avoid it, just accept it and go about your business....and call them on their bullshyt when they try to pull it...you know, all the shyt he talking now, he shouldve been talking/doing then...
oh yea: those that are saying he shouldve pulled rg3 aside instead of putting the business out there in the media, i agree...even if that cat didnt talk to you, he still shouldnt have put it out there the way he did....
