MC's that didn't release an album in their prime

obviously i'm mainly talking about rappers in a group that didn't have a solo album out in their prime. for example if Treach had a solo joint in 93-96, would have been crazy.

Twista was the one who sparked the idea for the thread. some would say he has classics etc but he bounced around for years in label limbo and we never got an album in the late 90's until Overnight Celebrity brought him back.

i think there's def artists that can't handle a solo or aren't suited to a solo setting. but there's also some artists that i think deserve at least the chance to prove themselves. Big Boi has thrived since Speakerboxxx IMO every album has been better than the last or at least as good. imagine if Ice Cube stayed with NWA & never put out a solo album until Bow Down or even Lethal Injection?
