MCUs comedy is dope to me

Not saying the actual jokes have me , just that I'm glad they keep it tongue and cheek. Riff on their own names and costumes. Clown Star Lord for thinkin he notorious.

Let's be real here. This is not high drama. This is basically comic strips fleshed out in live action. It's sort of more absurd to play it straight.

On the real, I am a fan of the current XD cartoons. It kinda feels like the same continuity as MCU, which is the entire point of a comic universe. A big, ongoing saga.

So from actual comics to cartoons to live action it's only right they keep the comic in comicbook.

Guardians towed the PERFECT line, because it was also heart warming too, especially the end with groot

AOU had a bit too much when it came to the final battle. Hawkeye trying to figure out how to add to his house while on a asteroid ( or whatever) that will wipe out the entire earth in like 10 minutes if they don't stop it and a army of robots

But he also delivered the goat linee in the series too talking to the scarlet witch
"The city is flying, we’re fighting an army of robots and I have a bow and arrow...none of this makes sense!"

right but you can't always have our heroes are laughing and joking in the face of danger otherwise it dissolves all the tension.

There's a time and a place for it. Guardians of the Galaxy got it right. The first Avengers movie got it mostly right.. Iron Man 3 and Age of Ultron was too much, especially Age of Ultron. You had Ultron himself doing an HBO special.

And that was my problem with AOU. Based on the trailers I came in expecting Ultron to fukk shyt up and be this extra menacing threat, with Cap shield broken, etc. etc. etc. and I get a 2 hour comedy routine.

Make it worse the theories the brehs came up with prior to the movie release would have made a better movie than what we got.

in all due respect though..... these are movies from comics right? Dont they do the shyt in the comics? I've seen many panel of cats doing acrobatic flips and shyt with the enemy shooting all these shots at them and the hero spitting some one liner.

nah...Again, there's a time and a place and also some characters who like to crack jokes and others who are more serious. There's nothing wrong with comedy just like there's nothing wrong with drama. But with Ultron, I've read plentyof Ultron stories. For the most part he's not fukking around at all. I'd have preferred that for the villain.

Note: I had no issue with The Avengers cracking jokes at the party. That was the right time for it and it was actually funny. Don Cheadle had me rolling. But when they are battling Ultron and he's cracking jokes and they are cracking jokes.. eh, it doesn't really feel like anything is at stake at that point.
