yeah it's my favorite Pac album

though in general I find that East coast Pac fans like MATW the most while westcoast Pac fans like AEOM and 7 Day Theory the most. makes sense since MATW had east-coast sounding production(easy mo bee) and he wasn't shytting on NY

I respect that choice,I tend to go back and forth on 4 Pac albums bein my favorite depending on my mood.....I don't agree with your reasoning for not liking it:heh:...too much cursing?tough talk?dissing dre every other song which is a reach.....how can 7th Day theory be childish with songs like Hail Mary,White Manz World,Hold Ya Head,Blashemy,Krazy:mindblown:.....its like not liking MATW bcuz its too depressing, the mood fit the album pretty perfect to me.

Personally I like 7DT better but I won't argue against someone liking MAW more. Both are classic albums :salute:

this is where you kinda have to seperate "best" from favorite....i feel like MATW should be the definitive 2pac album, if you're going to play any album of his for someone who's not familiar with his work as of yet, that should be it.

as far as favorite though...i would probably rank 7DT, and even AEOM ahead of it, just because there was venom doesn't mean it wasn't honest, the fact that he was going through so much and jumped right out the gate with it as soon as he had an outlet really makes that album powerful, the cursing, and the insults and all that only make it that much more concrete.

i understand what you mean about listening to it from a different perspective but i've always tried to listen to the music from the artists perspective where it calls for it, when you DO THAT, 7DT is much more of a real live account of what he was thinking/feeling, it's more organic.

A lot of the songs on MATW sound dated.

If I die tonight, Death around the corner is my favorite songs off of "MATW".

Pac was on a whole another level on 7 day theory, most of the songs still sound fresh. Classic.

:dwillhuh: at the OP mentioned how Pac was exessive with dissing Dre.

I thought I was the only one that found that to be annoying as well, dude was spamming his regular songs with disses and stupid shyt like "Bad boy killa" "random NYC rapper die slow!"

:snoop:

I hate when people say this such a generic response
