However the game and series was/is critically acclaimed for a reason they're great games nt perfect but GREAT and you comparing them to a game that is alright or good at best automatically paints you as a lunatic Stan in a lot of peoples eyes. Metacritic scores do not dictate which games can be compared. As I said in the OP in big red letters, I was not trying to call the games equal.

I honestly was not trying to get a rise out of anyone. Playing through both games gave me some of the same feelings. One game is universally praised, the other panned, so I decided to speak on it. People got mad and started with the "fanboy, goat game:umad" talk

Because you got the same feeling playing them does not make them comparable just the fact that one is a beat em up tech demo for a console and the other one a critically acclaimed action adventure game/platformer proves that

The game isn't perfect but the game is balanced enough to keep you entertained throughout. Some people seem to not feel the same way about Ryse and that seems to bother you a lot more than it should.

Yes it does. As I explained in the thread the games share both strengths and weakness, and design philosophy/pacing. The combat is a merely vehicle for the spectacle that the devs want you to experience.

The games are very similar in that regard, even though one is a shooter and one is a hack and slash. If you've played through Ryse, it isn't very comparable to other hack in slash games.

Uncharted 2 is perfect. There is literally NOTHING wrong with that game. I will defend Uncharted 2 to the death of me.
