thats why some would say Seth has been a failure... cuz at the end of the day.... no one really hated that dude. And no one wanted to see him lose.

Don't follow this at all. That guy had legit heat after he turned on the Shield.
He epitomized a weasel from his antics to his prepubescent voice.
Seth's run was a failure because they booked him like one.
He had flashes of good stuff when he threatened to break Edges neck and was standing nose to nose with Lesnar.
Seth wasn't likeable though and had even began being blamed across the web for the plummeting ratings.
Crowds chanting boring during his matches and his promos.
He has his fans but no one was championing for dude like that besides the feud with Cena and fans were ready to rally behind Reigns during their build to SvS if it meant getting the belt off of him.
Dig through post history and he along with Owens were credited with being the only two legit heels on the roster.

Na.... he was the kinda guy a large amount of fans still cheered. I mean the weasel shyt... lets be real the only ones that possibly didnt like him were the Cena kids... anyone 14 and up either liked him or just didnt think he was that bad. Hell lets drop the scale.... and talk about TSC... no one in here hated him. Many loved to see him win.

Now... I'm no per say saying he was a failure... but I did see that said in here a time or 2 but like you said... that may be due to booking.

I can dig..... but I still just remember how heels USED to be booked vs how they are now. The closest are probably Suit Y2J, Punk on Smackdown with his stable, my a few HHH reigns, and Sheamus.

But heels arent supposed to have even the slightest bit of chants, they aint spose to have positive signs, and at worst, we aint spose to feel indifferent about them. Their supposed to be polarizing. Seth wasnt polarizing enough, he was funny, he was charismatic, he was too cool at times.

When I think heels I think back to Bob Backlund, Vader, Lord Steven Regal, Dudleys in ECW (people really wanted to cross the fence and fukk them up), Owen when he turned on Bret, the King when he feuded with Bret, Yokozuna.... and so on. I remember being absolutely sick and pissed when I saw certain heels growing up. Thats how it should be and what they strive for.

Agree to disagree about Rollins, because there were times when the guy came out to total and complete apathy.
TSC (and other boards) had began moving on and were even expressing dissension about his promo ability and hefty amount of screen time.
I'll say this. I never wish injury on anyone but Seth's injury was a blessing in disguise for his character.
He wasn't taken serious by fans or creative and after getting demolished by Reigns, I don't know where he would have went.
I myself have never been sold on Seth but I will say The Authority being all up in the videos and the booking did more harm than any poor promo dude delivered.
He'll return from injury to a hero's welcome (heels always do) and go face with a fresh start.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder. I agree 100% on everything else though.

Taking a quote from the late great Patrice O'Neal "Why can't I hate you?"

I think if someone in this business can truly achieve that and thats the intent then thats going on the right direction. When there is deep rooted organic hate... that normally is the best heat for a heel

I do agree when Seth comes back though..... he will be well received. Thats another problem I have with the E... I think the over saturation is a bit too much... I also think thats part of the reasons A) guys are getting hurt so frequently and B) more stars are being made.

One thing that I always thought kinda worked in TNA's favor, but also worked for ECW, and WCW back in the days.. Is you didnt see these guys every week. I dont know why Vince got this mentality that we got to see the same people every fukking week doing the exact same shyt.

Hell I remember in the early days of Raw, the damn champ rarely was on the show. Only way you'd see him was house shows and PPV's. Now I know TNA and ECW did the whole "tape shows and the talent would be on every other show" deal or "2 show straight 1 off". WCW probably did it best, cats would come in... do they thing for a minute, when they started to get stale or needed to refresh, let them go for a bit, but when they came back it was big. Flair had times where he kinda bounced, Hogan had his time (though yes he was doing movies and shyt) but even the lower card guys. That brief bit of absence keeps guys fairly healthy, fresh, and underexposed. Cats that were great talent were more revered and it felt special when you saw them and cats that were green, it helped mask it longer.

Another thing too as fans, it keeps you on your toes cuz you never know who you may see week in and out and it gives other guys that much needed exposure. Truth be told, as much as like many others I may shyt on the roster. But if Vince just gave these guys that WCW schedule.... it would improve the product so much. Let them guys periodically go away to get fresh and other guys fill spots and rotate.

Again.... faces are supposed to be loved and cheered and heels are supposed to be hated and jeered. One is NEVER supposed to be happy or like when a heel wins the belt.

No... not like or be indifferent... fans are supposed to HATE IT.

Mission accomplished:manny:

Pretty much

I'm not even mad. I myself probably would of picked Spud or even Mike Bennett to run this angle with. But those dudes aren't even hated on as much as matt in wrestling circles. I see Billy and co are really trying to do things the right way by having true heels and babyfaces. I just wish he wouldn't play with the world title so much.

And why not? Heels are supposed to he hated and yall niccas already hate Matt... yall definitely dont cheer him and EC3 is for the most part liked.... yall dont hate him or boo him?

fukk is the point of a face getting heel hate/treatment and a heel getting love/face endearment? :dwillhuh:

I'm ready for TNA to die

No you not:russ:.... they not doing anything to hinder or hurt your life.

And its not like theres any strong guarantee or evidence "other companies" would do solid things with the TNA talent if they had them...... proof that they can barely do something consistently great with their own talent supports that "theory":mjlol:

Just let them cook man:pachaha:

Who or how many top heels are in TNA currently?
Matt Hardy
Eric Young
Tyrus
Bram

Meanwhile on the face side:

Jeff
Lashley
Angle
Roode
Storm
Galloway:scust:
And now EC3

EC3 didn't even get a proper feud out of anybody before the turned him. He has nowhere to go after Matt.

So just have random matches with no story behind them? Yeah that sucks
