His speaking out about his experiences on the boat even bigger than being on the boat. Gotta have more known personalities out there humanizing those people for the fence-sitters, cause the a$$holes demonizing them ten times a day.

Reminded me of this story concerning Lauren Southern and some of the worst people in the world:

Far right raises £50,000 to target boats on refugee rescue missions in Med

The Gasols are good dudes lowkey. I remember when Pau was on the Lakers he did a medical mission to Ethiopia. Marc should follow his brothers footsteps and join GOAT franchise, Bron can’t be the only one on the team doing good deeds. :kbshrug:

Knew that he was training to be a doctor but didn't know he was on a mission in Ethiopia :ehh:

Funny, I just saw a report on Al Jazeera about the group that Marc went with. The camera caught a glimpse of him but they didn’t interview him. Turns out they’re accusing the Libyan coast guard with manslaughter for slashing a migrant woman and child’s inflatable boat and leaving them in the water.

People tend to forget the positives of Memphis, as St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is located in Memphis. The Gasol brothers both gained their humanitarian nature from both parents, who worked as medical professionals. This isn't surprising from what we know of the Brothers. Marc is very low-key and enjoys helping others, he practically grew up in Memphis when Pau played for the Grizz. It's great to see stories like this versus the usual mind-numbing drama, not all heroes wear capes. :salute:

Gasols are good folks, really hated how Pau got dragged a lot while he played for the Lakeshow.

That said, Lakers fans are known to be harsh and complain about players on the team they support.

It probably comes from a lot of entitlement because the 2000's fans got used to seeing the team win.

It's actually a pretty new mentality, folks used to love just watching these brehs play in The Forum even when they weren't a straight up contender. Nobody was really complaining like that. I remember beating the Bulls back then was a nice boost of optimism, nothing more, nothing less. A lot of us loved those 90's Lakers teams knowing they weren't going to win it all.

The recent threepeat when the Staples Center was first built spoiled a lot of the fanbase.

Breh, we appreciate Pau but he had his moments. I don’t think any Laker fan would be opposed to Pau gettin his jersey retired he was a major contributor to two titles and is the best power forward in team history.
