Not sure how the race issue can be avoided here. This is disgusting. Not only do you bench the guy that made your franchise relevant but you don't even make him the backup and don't even grant him a release. You just have him sitting there rotting. You got white QBs still getting the potential pass 7, 8, 10 years into their careers but this guy is done in year 4?Kaep (who I have criticized, I actually criticized both when it was warranted) is suffering the same fate. You got QBs with record setting seasons and games and numerous playoffs wins and a SB appearance being benched for the likes of Kirk Cousins and Blaine Gabbert. Meanwhile with all these extra regular white QBs it's "bu...bu...but who you gonna replace him with" "you gotta see what you have in him" "look at insert attribute here".
It's simple. Blaine and Cousins are pocket QB's that look the part. RG3 and Kaep are mobile QB's AND black. Hopefully both will be able to rejuvenate their careers. There is a clear double standard.

Now his contract is killing him, if he plays and gets hurt skins got to pay him 18m, if he doesn't play they can cut him. Kirk can throw 1td 28int these last 5 games or so and there is zero chance he gets benched.

Cockiness is a qb requirement. I said he needs to be humble enough to take instruction and improve and honestly i just think his kneecaps let him down. He's skilled but will he sulk as a backup qb if thats what his best us going forward..?

Hopefully, RG3 learned his lesson for thinking he was completely untouchable. Black QBs aren't given the same privileges as white QBs and right after he began to struggle, his ass got replaced and the slurs never looked back.
