I posted the following in a locker room thread.
The HL forum may have something further to say:

Hotep, Hebrew Isrealites, NOI, so-called Black Christians, Newabians etc.....

Although there are without doubt exceptions from such groups, A good portion of ALL those "conscious" groups treat the matter of consciousness as some kind of primitive tribal affair (expecially the HEBREW ISREALITES) - Importance is made towards superficialities such as symbolisms, constant debates, group numbers, dogmas, self identification with the ancient past, or with characters (respectfuly) in some book... rather than to 'spiritual' & psychological freedom. Similar to mainstream religion and politics these days.

Watching their frequent violent, loud, aggressive & tribalistic attitudes towards this most extraordinary thing: namely that of awakening to consciousness & establishing harmony amongst blacks, has me astonished that so many black people are caught in all that mess - that same 'gangsterish' and divisive attitude that has gotten black people -- and continues to keep black people -- divided, stagnant and confused (thinking that they are on to something).

It seems that most of those groups enjoy taking 'shots' at each other to bring one another down, rather than taking serious concern & compassion for each other to bring one another up. (I swear, Dr. Ray Haggins gave a great talk on this matter in some debate against Wesly Muhammad *see youtube)

I think any individual who is serious about the harmony of black peoples may want to reevaluate any subscription they may have to the glorified tribalistic 'conscious' gangs that are known throughout the "black conscious community" such as: Hebrew Isrealites, NOI, so-called Black Christians, Newabians etc...

You'all in agreement? :sas1:

Or am i asking to be crucified? :wtb:

There are okay aspects of those groups, but none of them are really "conscious." They focus on distractions that misdirect attention from the very real material issues that the majority of people face. So there's no class consciousness and even on cultural things, the truth is often stretched or some truly fantastical things are made up and clung to.

Shut your fakkit ass up, agent. All we need to do is repeat the number SEVEN, the word KNOWLEDGE, and the phrase MOORISH SCIENCE. Then Jesus will come back and make all white people our slaves. The Honorable Minister don't lie.

You don't make a persuasive argument here for why the black conscious groups are neither conscious nor eschew real issues. The groups don't worry about issues which affect "the majority of people" -- they're concerned with what affects blacks. Please tell us what issues they focus on which don't matter so that we can be sure you know what the fukk you're talking about.

And don't talk about feminism.

:mjlol: Stalking me around the forums, I see.
Sitting around talking about getting your knowledge from aliens and your leader being from another planet? If that is conscious to you, I think we're done with this conversation :lolbron:. The vast majority of African-Americans are working-class and many are confined to economically depressed ghettos. If folks aren't speaking to the material issues that have to do with survival and a decent life, they're spreading nonsense and ensuring that people continue to suffer.

Even on cultural issues, many of these groups are suspect. For example, the Israelite groups. The vast majority of Africans in the diaspora in the Americas are descended from West Africans. Most of these groups aren't advocating a revival of traditional West African cultural practices though - they're focused on other groups of people.

This thread is at the topic of the Free Speech section. I don't see how my posting here means I'm "stalking" you. But carry on.

I don't think most black conscious groups believe in aliens. You're misrepresenting their views and arguing against a strawman you made up.

The vast majority of African-Americans are working-class and many are confined to economically depressed ghettos. If folks aren't speaking to the material issues that have to do with survival and a decent life, they're spreading nonsense and ensuring that people continue to suffer.

Social, cultural, etc things are have an effect on economic survival. America's existence is proof.

Even on cultural issues, many of these groups are suspect. For example, the Israelite groups. The vast majority of Africans in the diaspora in the Americas are descended from West Africans. Most of these groups aren't advocating a revival of traditional West African cultural practices though - they're focused on other groups of people.

The Israelites are but one group and they tend to focus on East Africa, whom are black too. That aside, it's patently false to say that all or most black conscious groups focus on East Africa. You are just generalizing like a moron.
