this drops today- i was thinking of copping and listening to it the first time after buying
i bought the first- big meek mill fan since he was riding with my state property nikka oschino
lord knows!With all that said...Kendricks album was boring as shyt though. Music is supposed to be entertainment first and foremost. You can be conscious and entertaining...Ken wasn't that.I like Meek Mill but I gotta say no. Meek has limits over what he can provide for an entire LP. His projects are good for some hard beats, stand-out guest features, and a few excellent Meek verses. This can't compete with the lyrical depth and production value of TPAB, Kendrick's rapping and voice aside (I am a big fan though). The amount of literary devices and instrumentation he incorporates is insaneTo me, that's a true artistic effort.
Don't get me wrong, so far I'd say this is Meek's best project and will do good numbers too. I gotta feeling R.I.C.O is going to be a big hit and help re-establish him after his sentence. First listen, I'd give the album a 7 or 7.5
