why do his albums start off so epic but then they are just ordinary trap shyt 808 saturated beats with lazy lyrics after

lord knows beat is like opera, and dreams and nightmares started off mad introspective and epic and then...then just ignorant loud ass repetitive beats and shouting.

even the intro is trap 101, just has a dope vocal sample. Metro has used that snare a 100x

i dont like it, dudes just not good at making full projects.Classic is at least interesting, but not something id listen to. everything else is in the moment music that doesnt grab me

Reading some of the excerpts from the Meek Crwn interview....it's mind boggling how someone who makes music is so closed minded on music

http://allhiphop.com/2015/07/03/meek-mill-crwn-elliott-wilson/

“I don’t listen to that type of music,” he said unapologetically. “I used to listen to Kendrick sh-t and this time he came with something that just wasn’t my lane. If Nicki does a pop song nine times out of ten I’m never going to listen to it ever in my life…They got songs that I might listen to but that ain’t really my type of s–t. I’m on some Future, Young Thug, Dej Loaf, YG, Troy Ave…Yo Gotti, of course Fab.”

It's clear why I find him so 1 dimensional....

He grew up in the streets of Philly. He's a milenieal so he was indoctrinated into hip hop's golden era and became an adult in the late 2000s...

A lot of the 90s era will be remembered for gangsta rap.

Ice Cube, Dr.Dre, Ice T, Snoop Dogg, 2 Pac

Scarface (The Geto Boys), Master P, UGK, Outkast & the dungeon family, BG (The Hot Boy$),

Twista

Jay Z, Nas, Beans*, Eve*, DMX, The Lox, B.I.G, Big Pun, Wu-Tang Clan

Yeah... Those acts were huge when he was a kid then you transition into the 2000s

He's very influenced by the ROC for obvious reasons.. He's also a huge 50 cent fan.

The gangster rap era condotioned a generation. This shouldn't come as shock. Even the backpackers and conscious artists were more gritty and edgey than this new generation

There are a lot of people who sound like Meek when you ask them about J.Cole or Kendrick Lamar

I'm from Philly and know Meek....I get it....

I also DJ in Philly......alot of closed minded peeps here.

Still weird to me.

If you look at Hip Hop's golden era a lot of them were influenced by other music....
