We see troy franticly walk into the room, somewhat calm, cock the pistol, head on the swivel looking for somebody, not taking cover behind anything, then lets it fly out in the open. But he didn't look like was shot already.

If they did shoot his homie first, which hasn't been confirmed. Natural reaction would be to shoot em back immediately. BUT It could always be handled after in the streets. You and your boys ride out and get revenge. His reaction is completely understandable but since we don't know what happened. All I can say is it is reckless to be shooting in a packed club across the room unless you are actively protecting yourself in a shootout.
